The Youth English Club started 7 years ago, at the Croatian-American Society, in order to help young adults improve their English and widen their cultural experiences. The program strives to offer teens in Croatia the opportunity to become bi-lingual in a relaxed atmosphere. All classes are taught by highly trained professionals, most of whom are native speakers. What sets our program apart from other language schools in the area is our dynamic classroom approach: the principal idea is for each and every student to be active throughout the entire class. We focus on the four main areas of language: speaking, reading, writing, and listening. Several creative teaching techniques have also been incorporated into the curricula. We use an open-ended, liberal approach in designing our curriculum, the objective here is to meet student needs on all levels and allow all students to grow as learners. Throughout the school year the program organizes extra activities; the students are offered several additional opportunities to use and practice the English they have acquired in different situations and environments. Students also have the opportunity to take part in various educational trips, to pursue their interests and expand their experiences. Our program prepares students for the spring ESOL Cambridge Exams as well.

The yearly fee is 4.290,00 kn (includes non-refundable 390 kn + 10 installments of 390 kn) textbooks are not included. There are several payment options. Any interested students should fill out a registration form at Petrova 119 to complete a placement test. The registration period is open through the month of September. However, students are welcome to enroll at any time during the school year.
